Our Mission

Charteris Foundation’s purpose is to support emergency services and law enforcement chaplaincy to police departments, fire departments, Federal agencies and related organizations.  The Foundation provides support for local chaplains, facilitates chaplaincy projects, and promotes training and education in a number of areas to the departments we serve, agencies internationally, and to members of the general public.

Company Profile

Charteris Foundation was founded in 1992 as a private, charitable non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.  Charteris chaplains assist all people, regardless of their age, race, color/ethnicity, sexual preference or religious beliefs (or lack of belief). The Foundation is run by an acting Board of Directors and an Advisory Board of Directors.  Directors are made up of businessmen and women and representatives from the Departments that our chaplains serve.

Day to day operations are overseen by Charteris Foundation’s founder and Executive Director, Dr. Tim Klerekoper. The Foundation chaplains are funded by monetary gifts from local churches, civic groups, and individuals.
